Big Night Entertainment Group seeks a qualified Private Dining Sales Associate for it’s restaurant and nightclub operations in Boston.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meets with potential clients for site visits
- Negotiates room rates and related fees
- Develops customized menus
- Writes proposals and contracts
- Ensures accuracy of BEOs
- Reviews BEO’s and event needs with management on a weekly basis
- Attends networking and industry events
- Continually networks with corporate leads, chamber members, convention groups and college contacts
- Develops sales programs and promotional ideas
Required Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- 3 years or more of progressive sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
- Must possess the following strengths: results driven, high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Outstanding positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Caterease
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 1 Sales Assistant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
College or university program certificate preferred or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
